Maharashtra government schemes for MSMEs

State-government schemes for small businesses in Maharashtra, from the Commissionerate of MSME and the Textiles Department.

Maharashtra runs its own credit-linked subsidy scheme (CMEGP) plus sector policies for textiles and exports. The Commissionerate of MSME lists state and central schemes together.

Chief Minister Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP)

Status: The state page lists scheme dates of 01/08/2019–31/03/2024. Check maha-cmegp.gov.in for whether applications are open.

What it offers
Credit-linked subsidy for new micro and small units: project cost up to ₹50 lakh (manufacturing) or ₹20 lakh (services). Subsidy 15% urban / 25% rural for the general category; 25% urban / 35% rural for the special category (SC, ST, women, differently abled, ex-servicemen, OBC, VJNT, minorities). EDP training is compulsory before the loan is released.
Who it is for
Maharashtra residents starting a new unit; one person per family.

Integrated and Sustainable Textile Policy 2023-28

Status: Rates depend on zone and guidelines.

What it offers
Capital subsidy for textile projects (brochure: 45% for MSMEs, 40% for large firms), extra 5% for SC/ST, minority, ex-servicemen and women-run units, 18 mini textile parks, and support for ETP, ZLD and solar.
Who it is for
Textile units investing in Maharashtra.

ECGC premium reimbursement (Export Promotion Policy 2023)

What it offers
Reimburses the premium MSMEs pay for ECGC export credit insurance on eligible consignments. Apply through MAITRI (maitri.maharashtra.gov.in).
Who it is for
Exporting MSMEs located and operating in Maharashtra.

Industries, Investment and Services Policy 2025
